Thriving on Less

Whichever way we look at it - whether it is the result of the 2008 global financial collapse or the increasingly dangerous consequences of our society's single-minded pursuit of growth which is increasing inequality and driving our ecological systems to the brink of irreversible change or failure - we are going to have to face up to the realities of living on less.
Less money, less carbon, less stuff. Can the arts lead the way in showing how we can all be alchemists of the seemingly impossible? What mindsets and models can we develop that will show how we and others can thrive on less?
These were the questions that framed the fourth Peer to Peer event, Thriving on Less which we held in partnership with ERA21 in London, Edinburgh & Manchester in Spring 2010. We hope you find the ideas and reflections of your peers stimulating and thought provoking and that you will contribute your own thoughts on these vital questions.
