This is a sharp analysis of the impact of the web - it tallies with other aspects including Alan Brown's research presented at Creative Nation into the quality of audience experiences (basically the better prepared they are the more they get out of the experience). What I'd like to see is how this works through in examples both from the mainstream (national galleries, concert halls and theatres) and also on the periphery in relation to edgy, socially engaged and activist practices (where I suspect it is already being used effectively).
