Our Capital Matters report and accompanying paper was formally launched at our Culture Change conference on 27th January 2011.

Opening the conference, Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture, Communications and the Creative Industries said the report was “going to help change the debates we have and how we have them, but there needs to be support there for artists and arts organisations who don’t have the experience or confidence to make these changes themselves.

The report argues for a National Capitalisation Strategy to help build the financial resilience of the UK’s not for profit arts and cultural sector, especially those of medium sized organisations.

Please note that there is also a accompanying paper referenced in the report which is attached below and gives an initial overview of the capitalisation of Arts Council England’s Regularly Funded Organisations portfolio by Joe Ludlow.
