Having the right organisational leadership, culture and values is key to success. Arts and cultural organisations are values based organisations and adaptation and change needs to stay true to these values for example, the prioritisation of environmental sustainability.
The following questions may help you to work out which tools to explore from the selection available:
- Is there clear leadership of your strategy/plans to evolve and change?
- Are you externally aware and focused on understanding your audiences and other key stakeholders?
- Do you have the right mindset to enable you to evolve and change?
- Do you have a culture of inclusivity and participation, where staff, volunteers, board etc are engaged in planning consider that their input is respected?
