David Hall

David Hall is Chief Executive of the Foyle Foundation. He holds a B.A. Hons. In Russian and Soviet Studies and an MBA.

He worked for nine years in project management, general management and marketing, including international assignments un Saudi Arabia and Sweden before undertaking his MBA. He then entered the cultural sector first as Deputy Director of Business in the Arts, a national programme of ABSA (now Arts and Business).

He later became Head of Consulting at ABSA. Prior to becoming the Foyle Foundation’s Chief Executive, he was lead Consultant at the international consultancy AEA Managements Consultant. He specialised in strategic development, business planning and capital project development within the arts and heritage sectors. He also assessed major capital projects for Arts Council England, the Scottish Arts Council and Heritage Lottery Fund.

He is a member of the Development Council and Strategy and Planning Working Party of the National Theatre and was a member of MMM’s Action group in it's third phase.
